As someone who has never been dumped, I’ve completely romanticized the process. Lots of ugly cry faces and tears, eventual self-empowerment (see: this song) and the insistence that I’m so much better off without the fucker, scream-singing out of tune and man bashing and ice cream — oh, there will be ice cream — and maybe even pajamas. (Or maybe no on the pajamas. That level of emotional retardation is excessive. Even for me.) In the end, quite frankly, getting dumped seems kinda fun.

So yeah. Someone break up with me. Give me my moment to shine.

Also, moral of the story, Fiona Apple is playing in Brooklyn in March and I want to go.
